Baltidelphia
Narrative Quilt: Sheet Music
This is the work I made for the Baltimore half of the two-city collaborative art show Baltidelphia. The quilt resulted from my collaborative correspondence with Philadelphia-based artist Tyler Kline.
Below, the spiky, feathery purple sculpture is what was born of his emailing and researching me. When he discovered that I was a musician, he wrote excitedly to me; he envisioned himself creating some noisemaking sculpture. At the Philly portion of the show, attendees could listen through headphones to Mr. Moccasin songs on a tape playing in the belly of Kline's beast.
